hello everyone. I really like the cb1100. now I own a suzuki vstrom 650 k7, the first series, and in the past I had yamaha xt500 and 2 trial bikes. I am 170 cm tall and I am very afraid that the cb which is 255 kg is too heavy for me. I've read a lot of reviews from magazines and users. Everyone says it's very manageable. I can not do a test of the bike. I climbed above only from a stationary position. I ask for advice. THANK YOU !!!!!!!

The bike is very easy to ride and lean, but is kind of a pig off road. Some find it cumbersome to push around the garage, but it is still very manageable. it is overweight when compared to a sport bike, but light when compared to a cruiser.

Welcome to the forum Vince, most of us wondered about the weight of the bike.
Before i had it i was used to the 900 hornet, 200kg and found it not a big difference, i am 1.85 m, just takes a bit more thought when moving it in the garage ( flat ground ).
Mrprofessionality is dead on with his explanation, since you already have a vstrom 650 it wil be quite easy for you to ride the cb1100.
The vstrom has a high center of gravity, it rides high over the road, and the seat height is 40 mm higher than the cb.
So normally there are no issues, but when you get in a situation where you cannot get both feet on the ground such as a slope you need to be a little skilled in balancing and anticipating the situation.
pushing it around the garage and up a slope is more demanding but not a lot more than the vsrtom.
The first time i rode the cb i found it very easy to ride, it is very "doseable" both in acceleration and brakes, particularly easy to take off going uphill, it won't scare you and instill confidence in the rider, it is also very neutral and light in steering, it almost anticipates where you want to go and finds it's way in that direction.
What you may want to try is just maneuver it around on the showroom floor and feel the weight as you lean it toward you, that way you can compare it to the vstrom
Some of our riders are a bit older than average and they are certainly happy with the bike, someone very aptly called it "a big pussycat" and that rings true with me.

Many thanks to all. I see if I can do a II test today. classic alternatives remain or triumph street twin (standard suspension does not speak well, and too much plastic ...) or ilv7 (but to make many miles is tiring)

Yes the thing is a bit of a pig. I haven’t ridin a lot in the past 30+ years,had my bike a couple of months,just turned 500 miles. The one awkward move I can’t seem to get away from is from a stop,say I pull it out of the driveway and back into the street,turn the forks to take off and do the awkward foot down cause I think ima gonna fall over. It’s not too bad as long as nobody sees you. I’m 5-11 and 200 pounds so size Inst an excuse.

you just need a little more throttle. keep your foot up and put a dash more mustard on the back tire, trust me the CB picks right up without a problem.

Vincep, I've owned everything from a Yamaha xs500 to the big Harley cruisers, and I've never ridden a bike that handles easier than the CB1100. At 5'11'' 190# and 63 years of age, I agree with Max, The CB is a big pussycat.

mine has a tall seat so i can not flat foot it , just the ball of my feet both sides. am 6' tall . I also understand the Avon Roadrider tires are taller also
