I'm old. And you're both older than me. Not sure what that says.

I met my wife the ancient way: by being introduced to her. You must be a young man indeed, Gone.

Ha! My first internet date was in 1999.

I was "introduced" to someone. It went sideways instantly. I don't trust my friends' judgement to introduce a potential mate to anyone.

Here's something else cool, or perhaps ominous, about how times have changed. Our company home page used to show the boss posing commandingly on a bike just below the Hollywood sign. Cool, but it didn't send the clear message that we're a medical service provider, and following a recent photo shoot, it was updated to show our riders pulling up to a hospital.

My Mom said she missed the Hollywood sign picture. So, I took a picture of me riding in traffic, and told Gemini to add the Hollywood sign in the background. Looks pretty convincing, don't you think?

Yes, that’s me, shot from a car ahead of me.

How about that. Looks like your moustache has vanished.

They didn't have "apps" when Mrs Ferret and I started dating in 1972. You had to meet the old-fashioned way

It doesn't matter what I ride, how far or how fast, only that I ride .... every day

As far as age goes, at 85, I am likely the oldest on this forum. My grandparents Kansas house did not have running water as late as 1950. There was a pump near the back door and an out-house (toilet) at the far rear of their property. To bathe, they set a large metal tub on the kitchen floor on Friday night and filled it by carrying in buckets of water from the pump. A bath was a special occasion. I remember our first telephone. It was after World War Two and I was probably in the first or second grade. When I decided to try it out, I was startled to hear a woman on the phone ask, "Number please." when I lifted it off the carrier. I quickly replaced it and got away from it. In the 1970s, my sister moved to Boone, NC, renting an old house. It had a wood-burning oven with the water-heater beside it. The pipes from the water heater ran into the oven, so the heat in the oven heated the household water. Each morning, my brother-in-law would start a fire in the oven to heat the water for our morning washing up. In 1974, when I was teaching Public Health Nursing at Western Carolina University, many of the houses in the rural areas there, still used that style of wood-burning stove and water-heater.
The cellphone has not only replaced the tape-recorder, VCR, film camera (I had some beauties), desk-top computer, dictionary, library and other ancient things I can't think of at the moment, but a lot of history that went with them.
Things have changed and I think that is the beauty of the CB1100. It reminds us of one of the most beautiful of those things we enjoyed when the motorcycle first began to appear around the world.
Biker

There's a difference in riding a naked bike and riding a bike naked.
Won't make that mistake again.

Ok, I see how it is. I post a few AI-enhanced pictures, and now nobody trusts anything I post. Sheesh.

Here's the original photo taken during our photo shoot to get pictures to improve our website and marketing materials. This was a fun exercise. Our dispatcher was shooting photos and video from the passenger seat of a friend's car while the boss and I rode past to show how we can cut through traffic to make delivery more efficient.

For the picture I sent to my Mom, I had Gemini drop the Hollywood sign in the background and blank out the part of the car that's visible on the right side.
I think my grey moustache blended in with my greyish face at that distance.
Edit - looking at the Gemini-enhanced version, it's sharpened up quite a bit, and I'm sure it didn't identify a moustache, so it just shaved me clean in the sharpening process.

My Mom met my Step-Dad in 1975ish. As I understand it, he was coming out of the men's room and tripped on my Mom's barstool.
