I spend a lot of time poking around FB Marketplace. Mostly looking at stuff I have no need to buy, like $25k perfect time-capsule Fox Body Mustangs. I also look at CB1100s, to track prices, see what people are asking, and to see what mods are on the bikes for sale.
I saw this 2014 this morning, and thought "Wow, that price is pretty low!"
Till I noticed that the mileage is 174,000. And the guy says "yes, the mileage is accurate".
Also claims it still runs great. That is quite a testament to this bike!
Does it belong to anyone here?

You know what? I actually would like a pickle.

Thats awesome news. At my rate of ~3000 miles a year average the CB should last me 50 years, into my late 70s!

If you want, I can give you my 12 years of 3 CBs experience for free, so you can extend it to 106... and I'll be 36 years younger

Clearly, well maintained, the CB1100 will run forever.
Looks like he's resprayed the tank at some point.

I was wondering that too Cormanus.
Yea one thing the engine lasting that long is awesome, but the overall shape of the body looks practically new!
Wonder how much maintenance was done over the past 12 years to keep it like that or if just basic oil change etc.
Curious if he did a valve adjust too lol

I suspect this is MMC's bike,
http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread....pid=355952 He was an active member of the other forum, but I don't think he's transferred to the new one. Wonder why he's decided to sell?
And ... maybe he still hasn't checked the valve clearance,

I suspect you're right Cormanus. On his old profile he listed his location as Fountain Valley Ca.
