Has there ever been a western usa cb1100 rally? pdedse, Rpdrpd01, I know you're both, and myself as well, out here on the left coast. Do you think there are enough other CB1100 folks that we'd have a chance at doing a western states rally ?

I do not know how many people can set aside a weekend, but I believe it is time to give it serious consideration.
I am blessed to ride in Northern California. It is a motorcyclist’s paradise. I have seen posts from Washington and Oregon which are equally inspiring, too. And everyone is aware of the Canyons and Beaches in Southern California.
Let’s see what the response is to this post. Great topic! David

No doubt you recall the original forum had a member location map that kennyw created. It has several categories on the left pane, of which are a listing of rallies and events. Going off that it would seem there have been at least 3. 2017 (Idaho), 2018 (Oregon) and 2019 (Colorado).

It would be nice to see another one come together since the East Coast versions require too long of a trip for most of us on the left coast.

In 2017 after being asked to hold a central rally we held the rally in Arkansas. If I remember correctly only 5 or 6 of us showed up

This could be a really great Idea. Back when the Westcoast rallies were being held I always thought it would be awesome to attend one, even though i'm all the way on the East coast. It would be a lot of fun to go hang out with a completely different group and see places I would never otherwise get to see. The most I can do to help you out with this is give advice on organizing it, which some of us on the East Coast have a lot of experience doing. on the surface, Utah seems like a really advantageous location! You could get folks that are closer to the central part of the country, and get the west coast people to show, and Utah has roads and locations that are extremely attractive to all participants as a draw to get them to come.

I own a home in the Texas Hill Country 40 miles from downtown Austin. It also has incredible riding opportunities and facilities, but any event should be scheduled anytime but the hell-hot summer.

For a 5 day plan, 1 day to get there, 3 at rally, another to get back to OR, I'd likely limit myself to WA, ID, western MT, northern halves of UT, NV and CA. Oregon is "all right" but the secenery is a bit bleh and your bike will immediately start to rust.
