I bought the sedici from cycle gear, embedded for Bluetooth music and never tried to intercom with another rider, it’s pretty confusing to reach up and talk with other riders I’m guessing....

It's supposed to be hands free. Everything can be done without taking your hands off the bars -- place outbound calls on your phone, answer incoming calls, communicate with a pillion or riders on other bikes, play music, listen to GPS commands, etc. You may want to confirm yours is configured correctly.

I haven't read the entire thread, but in case no one's mentioned Pinlock anti-fog screens, I highly recommend it; worth every penny in terms of clear vision and safety!

Had to resurrect this thread due to purchase approaching, and would like to know if someone has THIS particular helmet.
Mostly, I am concerned about: sun shade sliding mechanism and shield's front lock....both seem to be very delicate and hard to operate with glove on. https://www.gpbikes.com/hjc-rpha-st-vias-helmet Thanks to all who responded to this topic. P.S. Already went through online reviews.

Sorry PB, mine is an RPHA 90S (modular) and according to your link (RPHA 70) it has the same slider control to lower the sunshade and center control mechanism to open the visor. I have no issue at all with the sunshade control mechanism, at times it is difficult to locate as it is flush to the body of the helmet. Need getting use to. I like the location of the clear visor control, it is located at the center instead of the left side of the visor like my Shoei or Arai, meaning one can use any hand to lift open the visor. The pin lock is installed on the external of the visor. The white/Red RPHA 70 is a beautiful helmet. Why don't you wait until we ride next Tuesday to try mine. Regards Alain

Baron Peter, I see you've read reviews. Have you checked this, https://sharp.dft.gov.uk/helmets/hjc-rpha-70/?

I need a new helmet since my Shoei Qwest sacrificed itself for my sake. I was bummed to see they discontinued it as I had no issue with it whatsoever.
I also have the unfortunate habit of reading everything I can, about everything in my life and trying to make the best choices. It is exhausting. In addition to reading and watching reviews, Sharp tests, etc- I use Lidpicker.com system of telling me if the helmet will fit correctly and be comfortable. The Qwest was ideal on every aspect- and well rated from Sharp for safety. The only 3 helmets now that Lidpicker shows will fit me well are the Neotec II- but Sharp shows it pops open in a large amount of crashes, the Rpha 70 ST- but the side impact is unsafe- and several of the Arai..but for some reason I didn't like those when I was reading...I forget. So...I'm going to keep looking.

I truly love my Arai , they have great fitting helmets for different head shapes.
Best way to try a helmet is in a store and I do not mind paying for that when I buy that helmet from the store.
