Hey guys,
Thinking about attending the Indy MotoGP this year. Never been into MotoGP much, but now that the bug has bit, I really want to check out a race in person and with Indy being so close to Chicago, why not? Will probably just purchase a ticket for race day and ride down there with my Dad, but anyone that has had any experience with going to these races, please chime in.
Are GEN ADM tickets a good idea? Looks like you just pay $50 and then you find a grandstand or area where you can stand. I would like to state that my Dad will need a wheelchair when we get to the event as this will be a lot of walking for him. With that in mind, is reserved seating a better idea? Are the stands wheelchair accessible?

Ordered my tickets a long time ago, reserved the same seats as last year in the SWvista. The first year I went I
took a friend on crutches and one of the people there in a gulf cart picked him up as he tried to walk and took him to the stands and they let him sit in some of the lower stands. I would check the web page about wheel chairs. I have a friend who always buys GEN ADM tickets and says he gets good seats every time. Their web page has some real neat seating pictures.

scpecialist, you should go. I've never been a big fan of MotoGP but I got a bit interested after joining this forum. I went to the Australian MotoGP last year—mostly as an excuse to go for a ride— and had a ball. It's a great experience to have to get up close to the best in the world doing their thing. I'll go again one day.

CA200: thanks for giving me some insight on this. Still debating the trip, but leaning more towards going than not. Gotta discuss it with the Dad now.

I'm heading over to Indy on Saturday for a full day of practice, qualifying, and racing. It is amazing to watch the best riders in the world fly past you at 200mph+ just 10' from the track. It's only $20 on Qualifying Day. This will be my third MotoGP at Indy. Motorcycles on Meridian starts at 4:00pm and last till the early morning hours. Thousands of bikes and the riders who love them. Worth the trip to Indy if you are in the facinity!

Indy marks the start of the second half of the season. Nine races and 225 first place points up for grabs. Logic and reason say the championship will be between Rossi and Lorenzo with many giving Jorge the nod.
I hope Marc can pull of a miracle, starting with Indy. But he would need help from Dani and bad luck from Team Yamaha.
Marc & Dani one/two on Sunday!!!
