Ferret, first off I am very sorry to hear of your aliment. I just want to share with you that my brother-in-law has suffered with ulcerated colitis for his entire life. When a child it almost killed him. I know it is different from the form of colitis you are afflicted with. However, he has had great success in his later years, he is currently 69, with the low Fodmap diet. It is pretty strict but he is able to lead a fairly normal life. He travels extensively, mostly by auto, with his sales rep job, and is an avid tennis player.

He is also seeing an herblist and swears by her and the relief she has given him.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

lol no I won't be on the road until Tues morn. Empty Sea arrives here tomorrow evening, spending the night here, and then Tues morn we will leave after breakfast and head for Berea. I'm only about 3 hours north of Berea taking back roads. Plan to be in Berea for lunch at the Old Amish Store at 1 PM, then the afternoon ride at 3 PM. Not sure we can check into hotel before lunch, but probably can after lunch and before the afternoon ride.

I still can't decide which I'll likely grow to regret more. Inventing the CB1100 Forum Secret Decoder Ring, or letting it get into the hands of popgun.

I shouldn't worry too much about the decoder ring, Guth, unless it falls into the hands of popgun's mate, Bubba.

Of far greater concern is the image of the Ferret riding around while posting on his handlebar-mounted iPad. Look out soccer mums.

The decoder ring is my Precious. Bubba can’t have it or hold it.

The ring has shown me Ferret’s new bike, but the image is cloudy. Model possibly starts with F though.

It’s when they spy the ferret pulling up outside of the hotel office with his special “ferret edition iPad” mounted to his bars that they quickly make him out to be one of those “travel journalists” (which of course he is). It’s at that point that they quickly book him into the double-secret (none of the regular staff even knows about it) luxury penthouse suite (mainly hidden by the large rooftop A/C condenser units). So when everyone says their “goodnights” at the end of a long day, listen closely and you might hear the secret elevator running as the ferret is shuffled upward to the massaging jet jacuzzi that awaits him. And never mind that noise in the parking lot, that’s just the staff doting on his CB, tucking it in for the night after checking his fluid levels and the air pressure in his tires.
