Whoa, I can see why it is called a Windjammer! Looks very sleek. I'll look forward to photos and a report.

Cheers

I love my CB. However, I think some things related to it should stay in the past as a pleasant memory.

Lol for those of that era,the Windjammer fairing was a revelation. Nothing before it made long distance travel so easy, so comfortable. At one time it was estimated that 50% of all the GoldWings on the road sported Windjammer fairings, also most of the other bikes that saw any touring duty from Honda 750s to Water Buffalo Suzukis, to KZ 900 Kawasaki's to Yamaha XS 11s and BMWs. My brother and I put them on every bike we owned for about 10 years. Just an outstanding invention for long distance riders, and really the impetus for all the manufacturers to bring out their own full dressed touring bikes.

Now I want to do some research and see if any of the "old" pipes still manufactured, by Kerker, Vance and Hines "chrome" will fit the 1100"s. They had em for 83 1100's maybe the engines are similar..... Need to find out the pipe diameters, spacing, etc, etc, These new pipes such as pipemasters, and ones in japan looking like the older 750 pipes are nice, but Jesus, Mary and Joseph not worth the money they want. You can still get older pipes on ebay for 500 and less, and probably make the bike run even with the smog crap on there.... We'll see.............. going to make my barcket this weekend, set up painting and Wolaaa! Custom matched Vetter Fairing in Honda Graphite black, Red, Grey just like on tank. Thanks for all the good feedback. RNR53, PS.... I think the bike will handle just fine with it too, if I want to canyon race I'll buy a crotch rocket !Biker
