I admire your attitude Riko. I have gotten so spoiled and lazy that I can't imagine riding in the rain. More than anything, it's the clean up afterwards that I hate. With the crazy El Nino weather we've been getting, I may have to rethink things and just go get wet!

I came home after that ride, saw lots of dirt on the swingarm chain side, so I concluded I cannot clean the bike as I used to clean it thus far = with lots of rags and spraying some water and dry clean it with cloth.
Normally the day after or later in the week I would look at the dried up dirt and brush it away at the tight spots with a nylon brush.
Mainly, fenders, brake parts, swingarm, triple tree.
Engine remained mostly clean, except the front of course Dodgy
And all this in the garage.

But since it was so bad, I decided to let the bike outside, take my spray can with water and some S100 cleaner mixed in the can and 2 small bickets and my nylon brush.
Directly tackeled the mentioned parts + the spoke wheels with my spray and brush and afterwards I poured the content of 2 buckets of water on the same parts.
And the engine fins were treated superficially.

Started the engine for a minute or 2 max.
Parked it in the garage and cleaned it up.
The entire bike has never looked this new since they delivered it Smile including the spoke wheels.

Only the front of the engine was left alone and looks dirty, but you'd have to look past the exhaust headers to really notice.
Luckily I already treated the entire front of the engine block with S100 anti-corrosion.
In spring that dirt should go fairly easy.

Long story made short Smile
If you see the bike is so dirty you can be forced to clean it just by the sight of it and when you start you can't stop Thumbs Up

Big updates!

A retrobike with a huge topcase Dodgy but imo it worked out quite well imo Cool

Plastidip! Thumbs Up
And first time user of Plastidip! It is a cool product!
I will probably use it for the rear handles.
Big advantage: its not permanent, you can peel it off easily.

yeps, top of this page you can see the full OEM carrier...

Case is a Givi E55 Maxia 3 Tech and holds 55 liter.
You can get an optional brake light kit and a remote control and some other small stuff.

I did notice 2 things compared to the past:
- the document holder in the lid has disappeared
- the metal hinges have made place for the rubber cords....but reading user experiences those metal hinges were not reliable anyhow...

thx, its not finished yet, lets say I am at about 75%

Blacked out front forks to make the whole front a little bit more uniform towards black

black passenger grabrails (plasti dip)

daytona leg visors Blush I really believe this will fit perfectly on this retro bike
it seems nobody has these installed on the bike, couldnt find nothing in all known boards or facebook Smile

Most importantly, change the screen to normall size instead of the current high touring screen, this should improve the look ánd the wind noise. But I am curious how the wind will blow..
