I suspect that once you invest some time on an English Wheel to get a little compound curvature, and then fab the mounting brackets, you might as well buy the Dart Flyscreen...unless, of course, you want opaque metal like on the Moto Guzzi V7 Racer.

If you want I would be willing to sell my tinted Dart flyscreen, complete with brackets and everything. This is for a '13 or '14 standard. I took it off when I got my Road Comet 2 and love that one so much it is not coming off. Let me know if you are interested.

I saw a really neat, and really small "thing", I cant really call it a windshield, but it was above the headlight and shaped kind of like a windshield, except way small. It was metal, looked bad to the bone, and I was like hmmmmmm. This cardboard fell off by itself, indoors, so probably wont withstand any wind, ferret, you're right

There does come a point when a guy that don't like to buy stuff when it can possibly be made, breaks down and spends the money. Its just not nearly as fun! Who knows if I will actually get anything out of this.... Like I said, Just messin around with an idea ........that cardboard bike is pretty cool btw

Actually I think one like that made out of metal and not acrylic because you don't look thru it anyway, would be pretty cool. Shape it, leave metal on the sides to bend back and slot for over the headlight bolts and let the consumer either leave it plain metal, cover it with tape, or paint it as they see fit.

I'm with Gumby. It looks like a Dart. Maybe you could buy that Dart and use it for a pattern? Just a thought.

You could also get the dart screen and have a shop apply metal vinyl wrap to it. Perfect shape and the appearance of metal, with the ability to revert to clear if ever desired.

Thanks for the ideas guys! I do like the flyscreen, but I don't really want to copy it, I would want something different looking. Hopefully I can get some more garage time soon and mess with it.
