Ouch! Wishing you a steady recovery, VLJ.

So, I had my first experience with a suppository today. Suffice it to say, both my Minnie Driver-lookalike nurse and I agree that it's a good thing she has tomorrow off from work.
A few hours later, however, holy crap, I unloaded enough fertilizer to cover the entire poppy crop of a good-sized Afghani village. The poor hospital, they had to send in their very best, battle-hardened Haz-Mat cleanup crew to deal with the aftermath. Because the neck and ankle fractures are non-displaced, the surgeons say that they prefer to take a wait-and-see appoach, rather than go in right away. The double compound-fractures to the femur gave them no choice but to operate immediately, as did the shattered heelbone. They hope to see the neck and ankle bones heal on their own. Tomorrow they are booting me outta here, into one of those Stephen King-approved Skilled Nursing Care house-of-horrors facilities.

VLJ, I'm so sorry to read about your really bad accident!
I wish you a fast and uncomplicated recovery. Looks bad enough. Glad to see, that you haven't lost your humor. That could help a lot.

VJL , I am very glad that you finally had a "movement" , we are all moved by this outcome.
As Django said , you still have a great sense of humor and trust me humor is the best medicine (plus good looking nurses as well )

VLJ: Your wit is about as intense of the damage. That is strong and very promising, ... and that is in addition to your crisp and well articulated script. Steady as she goes, eh?

good news indeed Veal.
My wife who after a pelvic fracture and after double knee replacements spent some time in one of those Stephen King approved places. She says you are right about that, and if you are not on blood pressure meds now, you will be shortly after entering the nursing home. Good luck on getting your meds on time. Keep us informed. Did they plate the femur?

Well if you're going to get a suppository I suppose having Minnie Driver give it to you isn't the worse thing. Could have been the Dwayne Johnson look alike....
Glad to hear you're in good spirits VLJ, hang in there.

Some sort of Netflix CB1100 Forum-inspired documentary almost seems to be forming out of this thread.
