Well, since I'm well on my way to 83, I don't have to worry about that 80 number
 It's a wise man who knows when to makes changes to keep himself safe and still have fun  Giving up the CB may be a bitter pill to swallow, but he will be happier and safer in the long run.

I guess I do not want to feel old and riding these 3 bikes takes me back to 1969 every time I get on one. May God protect you John, and the rest of us Hooligans still riding. Dang, I love this sport!

I made it to 80 last Oct. Still riding - though not as much as when I was younger. And definitely not much at all since my state issued stay at home orders.
Time will tell when I need to shift to a lighter weight bike or go to something other then 2 wheelers. I already gave up a 1997 Valkyrie due to the weight when moving around the garage and when I had parked it facing the curb on a slight downhill slant.

John's post also made me overthink the motorbike situation I created and find myself in, still some years to live until I'm eighty. Riding the CB after having read his words brought me into a different mindset. Is the CB heavy? Yes, it is. Can I handle it safely all the time? Yes, think so. Do I love keep riding it? I do. Will I do something like body fitness to make this last as long as possible? I will try.
Don't know when my time comes to say goodbye to the bike. I hope not too soon. The only think that lately was able to destroy this hope a bit was the dying battery and so a dead bike. I had to bring the CB over a few steps to the backyard of the house where I live. It wasn't easy, though I managed to do it, but the weight of the CB nearly got me, without her motor running and me riding the Honda, which makes the whole deal much easier. The lightest and easiest to handle of my bikes is the Bullet. Maybe it will stay with me for the longest time until I'm gone, if it keeps running. Wisedrum

Yes. The sheer weight of the CB1100 when you have to push it around is the thing I find most difficult.
