barkbusters?

Has anyone installed barkbusters aluminum lever guards / handguards on their stock bars? If so, I'd be very interested to hear which model you got to fit and whether any mods were required.

I installed them on my TW, but not on CB. Fairly easy to install, but as I remember, there wasn't much wiggle room as to where they went. Quality units though.

This is my main concern. Doesn't seem to be much real estate to spare on the stock cb11 bars. Maybe I'll be a guinea pig on this one.

I installed some on my CB500x, attached to mirror mount and handlebar end. Purchased some stock Yamaha SuperTenre "bark busters" that are plastic for less than $25, flexible enough so fit is adjustable and inexpensive enough to not worry. Nice for rain and cool rides.

Not intentionally.

The primary use case is a little embarrassing. My parking situation is such that I'm often pushing the bike out of the garage and around the side of the building, which on occasion leads to something (chain link fence, untrimmed vines, giant plastic recycling bin) grabbing my brake lever. The last thing I need when moving a 550lb bike around is having it suddenly plant its feet when I'm not expecting it.

The secondary use case is taking wind off my hands in cool weather.

The tertiary use case is looking mean / unique.

I went to the Barkbusters home page and they do list the CB1100 as a bike model.

ETA: Ah, no aluminum brace / "not designed for impact protection". Likely enough for my needs though.

Aluminium braces would require removal of the bar end weights that dampen vibration. The single point mounts allow the end weights to remain and probably have more hand room than the brace type.
