Techserfu Titanium Exhaust
#1

Has anybody ever seen this bad larry in action? Is there a video anywhere demonstrating the exhaust sound? i used to think it was ugly, but for some reason it's really growing on me. on top of that, i just realized it's cat-free.

https://japan.webike.net/products/22773018.html

edit: i found a video of it attached to a cb1300, i think that's as close as i'll ever get to hearing it on my bike:

I have a cat free titanium Motogear headers installed, coupled with BMS slip-on. Though it's not Techserfu but i bet it's very similar. The sound is awesome. You need PCV or Bazzaz to make it smooth as silk with significant power increase or else it will surge Smile

thanks for the input!! that's really promising, and now I want more info on where you bought your parts. I love finding more reasonable alternatives.

Also, Would you mind posting a video of your exhaust in action when you get any time? how close is the sound of the cb1300 video i posted to yours?

as far as the PCV installation, it was my intention to get a full ECU flash, air filter/snorkle mod and Dyno tune at the time of the installation. If i'm going to spend this kind of money on an exhaust i'm going to squeeze every little horsey out of it.

It is ugly. But, if that video is anything to go by, it sounds wonderful.

it is ugly!!! i thought so the moment i first saw it. it's too long, and too skinny, and looks unrefined, but for some reason the more I look at it the more it weirdly grows on me. to top it off, the more i read about it from what sources are available, the more i come to understand that it's actually highly refined and super high quality. especially the polished titanium muffler. it's also stupid expensive, but it's still less than most people pay for those pipemasters 4-4 sets, and i have yet to determine whether or not it's worth it.

Here you go https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5YPejnmNTM

You can find parts on webike or samurider. Other exhaust option you can go for is Ruyjin exhaust, it's worth a look.

you've done a great service itstuantran! thanks! now I know exactly what it will sound like.
follow up: do you have any tips or warnings about maintaining titanium exhausts? is it any different from taking care of a stainless steel exhaust?
2nd follow up: i'm having a bit of trouble precisely nailing down which BEAMS R model is mounted on your bike. is it this one? https://japan.webike.net/products/9477784.html

The Motogear header is a top notch product and you can keep your center stand. The titanium will rainbow no matter what you do (Not sure if internal Jethot would prevent). It is also crazy light.

Losing the cat really opens the bike up. I run a PC V with the TSR map, TSR air funnel and K&N filter.

I also have a Staintune muffler. I think the look just fits the bike and is a super high quality piece.

I am happy with the results

Mr. T at Samurider has all the goodies you'll ever need. I would suggest using him exclusively. Good with English and amazing customer service.

those are all the reasons why i'm so attracted to titanium parts. i want the rainbowing, and I want the lightness, and a definitely want to ditch my cat. i'm not living in an inspection state, so there's no problem there.

as for the muffler, i think i'll get a titanium muffler too, likely not a staintune, primarily because i just want it to match. i'm still interested in a staintune, and i'll never say never if i find a really good deal on one, but if left to my own devices i probably won't end up with one.

as far as samurider, i take everything there with a grain of salt. the service and shipping are amazing, no doubt, but they don't have *everything* and some of the things they do have can be easily beaten price-wise elsewhere. that's not true for the motogear headers though, according to my research Samurider is going to be the best place to get that.

For muffler, not many options for CB1100. The titanium full system you can look for is Ryujin. Or else you can go for CB1300 as mine (Beams BMS R-evo) or TSR Nojima, Kfactory or Maverick. Those are round and long cans which provide rich and deep bass.

With the full titan system installed, you can get rid of 10 kg. Mine RR's stock exhaust approx 15kg Smile. I've alos had TSR air funnel and K&N filter installed. Altogether has really transformed the bike.
