Not even remotely loud. One word of caution: If you get one you will find yourself "blipping" the throttle. First during upshifts and downshifts to smooth shifting, then again when you pull up to a light or into your driveway, just because they sound so dang cool. In a much more subtle, and harmonically pleasing way: I've become like the Harley dorks.

Ferret, please change Hondamatic's user name to HondaDork. Tongue

Price question for everyone: Is $325 a good deal for a StainTune slip on that has around 100 miles on it? I can get one (somewhat) locally but I'd like to get some feedback from some of the more knowledgeable members. Thanks!

Yes, that is an excellent price if it is in good condition!

I just finished negotiating with the seller. It looks like we have a deal for $315.

I know Staintune is popular but for less money I think you get a better look with the Arrow that is closer to stock.
It's not as shiny as stock but looks similar and more svelte. I also like how the Arrow is a cone type whereas the Staintune seems more like a straight tube.

cb4me,

Really? 25 pages of owners enamored with the Staintune and you are going to pick this thread to dis our favourite exhaust? Biker

Don't get me started on how poorly the stock heat shield looks and fits on the Arrow...pick your battles and "battlefields" carefully my friend! Wink

That's a great deal on the Staintune. I'm guessing that you'll be quite happy with it. Superb quality and it shows (or doesn't show in this case — you won't find any rivets on the Staintune). Enjoy!

Gumby, I'm not buying into this conversation other than to say that, if you're going after someone, be careful to get his or her name correct. cb4me? (my emphasis) is not CB4ME. The latter had a beautifully modified CB1100 which left us prematurely at the hands of a church van. Luckily its rider, who was badly hurt, has recovered well and returned to riding. The story is [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=9573]here.
