Stopped down at my local dealer to thank them again for donating the hat for the rally, and to arrange getting some new skins on my ST, and Tom, the owner, told me tomorrow Yamaha is announcing their 2017 line up and there is a new retro iin it that will be very interesting.
Now I can't wait until tomorrow to see what it is.

Hmmmm, let me ponder that setup, never saw that one coming at all. Still waiting for Yamaha to release the FJ-07 in the US!
This gives me pause in my never-ending mental exercise of "what bike next?".

Know what would have been cool? A DT400 inspired SR 400. Or how about an XS650 inspired FZ-07? Two iconic Yamahas.
Makes me bang my head against a wall.
And like Hula said how about an middle weight sport tourer, you know with maintenance free shaft drive based on either the FZ07 or FZ09?
