These are the links I ordered. Lowers the rear about 1 inch. Raised the fork tubes by 1 inch also and the bike handles better afterwards. I'm 5' 6" with 28" inseam. I also had 1 inch cut out of the side stand, welded and refinished. Will install a center stand next but will keep the standard height as I like the extra clearance provided. I have had standard center stands on three other tall bikes that had been lowered and it never was a problem lifting them to position

If it gets hard to get the lowered bike onto the center stand, run the back tire up on a piece of 2x4, then deploy the center stand

I would of expected the lowering link supplier to suggest you only lower the front forks (along the longitudinal axis of the fork) by 3/4" compared to the 1" lowering at the rear. This way you are trying to preserve the stock trail and the bikes handling characteristics. If you find it reluctant to turn in compared to stock you might try that. From what you say though there is no problem so maybe not so much an impact on that bike?

thanks all! it seems most get the 40mm. why did you go with 25mm?

No need for me to lower the bike that much. This bike feels far lighter than it's weight would suggest and I had no real problem riding it at standard height. I did not want to compromise ground and cornering clearance that much (40mm) so went with 25mm and that has worked well. I can mount and dismount without need of standing on the left peg and with the balls of my feet down at stops feels secure even if stopping in gravel. You will need to shorten the side stand by about an inch as after lowering the bike is very near vertical and easily tipped over. You can buy a short stand but cutting and welding was free and simply done.

ordered Koubalink really nice looking links. picked up bike. it doesn't need lowering for me. now I find out Koubalink charges 20 % restocking fee!!! and I have to pay shipping! what tha! Shame on them! don't recommend them!

This is a small company. Is that not reasonable given the effort, admin and costs they went through to send you the product that you ordered? Should they pay your return postage too because you ordered something you didn't want in the end? They will have banking fees on your transaction too, once on the initial order and again on the refund. I think you are being a little harsh on them.
