Saw this ad and I think the bike looks great. Would be cool for Honda to add something to the lineup in the "Dyna" category to me.. BUT
Why the heck are they only releasing it with a DCT so far?? Looks cool with the Batwing to me.. the bike maybe a little small looking to me more like a sportster category but I'd love to test ride one of those Rebel 1100s. If my 6ft 260lb body fits on it I think it would be a cool bagger option to stay in the Honda family without jumping ship to a Indian Chief or Harley low rider.
Anyone on here have a Rebel 1100 that can weigh in? Wonder how successful that 1100 line is going as a cruiser that doesn't feel small or underpowered?

I sat on one at my dealership Saturday while waiting for service on my NC 750 DCT.
I'm a munchkin, barely 5'6" and that thing is really small/low. I would think a 6'er would be folded up like an accordian riding it. The fairing and bags were well integrated on the bike. Rear passenger seat and footpegs are options.
They make the non T in a standard trans.

I am over six-one and sat on the Rebel 1100. I fit. Feels okay, but I do not know how well I would do after 75 minutes.
Off paper, the Rebel 1100 is a very powerful 1100. Using the DCT option, I am doubtful many other cruisers will pass it - except likely a Gold Wing with DCT (heck, without it too).

The manual tranny is reported to not be available in the U.S.
No point really. The DCT is unmistakably delightful on the 1100.

Am I the only person who thinks that Honda might want to re-think the name of this bike? I realize that I haven't really matured since the age of 13, but still... Particularly once transmissions start to enter into the discussion...

I never much liked a lot of the names the Japanese bike companies gave their Harley clones, especially the Rebel. But I guess "Confused Anti-Social Adolescent" was too long to get on the tank of most bikes.

I wonder if Canada will get a manual Rebel 1100 T? It would be surprising if the U.S. does not get a manual 1100 T.
In terms of the Honda name "Rebel" - yeah, not the greatest. Ironically, maybe comparatively "innocent" in the rough-n-tumble American classic cruiser domain.
I suppose Honda could have used "CMX1100"?

I wasn't talking about "Rebel". Evidently I'm the only one with sophomoric humor and up on urban slang...

Looks small, and no clutch?- for the price- I don't see small girls / young little guys spending the cash they are asking for it.

Ummm... what?
542 pounds, 86 horsepower at 7,000 RPM and 72 pound-feet of torque- crank.
NOT ever remotely close to 'doubtful other cruisers will pass it'...I could fill my 2 car garage stuffed full of bone stock cruisers that will eat this things lunch.
