New Stuff Ordered....

Hey Guys,

Really glad I found this forum. I've had some health issues this past summer and was really getting kind of boned-out. Finally beginning to feel like riding again and now we got cold and wet...arg. I ain't getting any younger, either.

I have several Hondas and was riding mostly the go fast CBRs earlier this summer. Finding this forum has re-instituted my interest in the CB1100. I always loved the look and how it rides, but it is kind of bland, compared to my other bikes. This forum has sparked a renewed interest in the CB1100.

Now to the New Stuff...I fell in love with the pics and info about the café equipment from Samurider, especially the Comet Road Fairings and the sport trunk seat. Reviews here on the forum praise both the products and the service. Well, I bit the bullet and ordered them both this evening. Looks like they are scheduled to arrive here end of January, early Fedruary. I really can't wait....Guess, I'll just have to.

I will post pics and stuff when they arrive. Everyone have a good one!

Hope your health issue are in the rear view mirror. Yea, the CB1100 is no CBR when it comes to outright performance, but if you are ready to slow down a bit and just enjoy motorcycling it can be bery satisfying.

Sounds like you have a plan and have taken the first steps to make your CB1100 yours.

Chic Design makes the Road Comets to order so that is why it takes so long. It is well worth the wait! Once Mr. T gets it in his hands, you will get it in a couple days.

Unless, funny story, He shipped mine. It arrived in NY with no shipping label and Customs sent it back (Mr. T ink stamps his address on the box) and he had to reship it. And no one knew where it was until it showed up at his office.

Anyway I tell people my Road Comet had 20000 miles on it before I even got it!

Thanks guys for the replies. It dates me and I hate to say it, but glad I can...I've been around long enough to have been working at a Honda dealer when the CB750 came out in 1969. Back then, never thought I'd be able to own one. Now, owning a CB1100 is all the sweeter. I do like the CBR's, the power is unbelievable. But riding the CB is so much more relaxing. No pressure. I am looking forward to getting the order from Samurider and riding the new look CB.

It was a hard decision to chose between one of the K&H solo seats and the ChicDesign. Could have saved a little money, but the ChicDesign sport Trunk seat looks so retro and reminds me of the café bikes of years ago. I am kind of partial to stuff that has that old-timer heritage and style.

Thanks for the encouragement on these items. I was a little hesitant because these things are not cheap. But many here of the forum testify that the chic design stuff is high quality. I ordered mine from Samurider. He has been very responsive, it really should transform my CB and add a lot of style.
