2017 rearview mirrors
#1

Hi:

Can anyone confirm thread size and hand for the rearview mirrors on the '17 model?

I am looking for less chrome and more black on my mirrors. I haven't decided on the shape yet (circular/oval/rectangular... :-? )

I have seen some using mirrors from CB500X. Are the threads handed? Will they fit the '17 model? Do you have part numbers for them?

Thanks!

I can't edit my previous post, but I can add info:

On the CB500F, threads seem not to be handed (RH thread for both mirrors), and they are 10mm threads (don't know the pitch, but I'd be surprised if they used different pitches for different models).

https://www.bike-parts-honda.es/pieces-h...500+F.html

So P/N seem to be:

88210MGZJ40
88220MGZJ40

Can someone confirm if these would fit a 17 model?

thx!

I found the mirrors on my CB500XA to be just as confusing as the ones on my CB1100 EX. So I assume that one is reverse threaded. Both mirrors are supposed to push back in case of a spill.

I used MotoWerk mirror extenders on my CB500XA so I could see something other than my elbows. When I traded it in I kept the mirror extenders for my CB1100 EX. Both sets of mirrors threaded into the Motowerk extenders. The extenders are marked left and right.

mmm... I think I am more confused now! Smile

So, you are saying that you can put the CB1100EX mirrors on the same threads that the CB500XA mirrors once were?

CB500XA... of which year? (Just to check part numbers)

Thanks!

Yes, the 2013 CB500XA mirrors fit into the same threads on my MotoWerk mirror extenders as my 2017 CB1100 EX mirrors now do.

So the CB500XA mirrors should also fit in the threads of a 2017 CB1100 EX.
