New Levers!
#1

So I bought my bike in May with 4500 miles in immaculate and very stock condition, and as with all my bikes, I like to ride them stock as long I can until there's something that I really need/want to change. I've put a couple hundred miles on it now, and being the control freak that I am, I knew I didn't like the feel of the stock levers. I loved my JPR levers on my CBR600RR, and looked for something like those, in gold. Couldn't find any that were priced well. The ASVs come in any color combination you want, but I wasn't looking to spend over $250 in levers. Then I found some Vortex levers that were a good price and readily available (though not in gold), and were available in my preferential short brake/long clutch.

Seeing that I had $23.xx sitting around in credit from Sportbiketrackgear, I picked a set of these up for $129.02 otd. (This purchase gave me another $6.45 in credit for next time) Got around to installing them today, and they feel great. The levers are a two-part assembly, as the levers are all universal, and the base piece that attaches to the perch is the "custom" part for individual motorcycles. There is very little wiggling and free play in these levers, which is nice, especially for the price. The wider flatter profile of the Vortex lever vs stock gives me much more confidence in braking, especially with how grabby the CB's brakes are compared to my sportbikes. Plus it's more comfortable to use than stock, as it doesn't "dig in" to the fingers as much.

It might be a problem for RLET's to sit comfy, due to square shape of the lever ends...
Let's Lord Popgun make his valuable opinion as well, please.

Interesting design. Wonder what the hole in the "ball" is for?

My son and 2 nephews all have shorty levers on their bikes. Feels weird when I ride them. Guess my hands are just used to full length levers and I use the whole blade lol.

Pretty sure it's just the removal of unnecessary material in order to add lightness.

Orrrrr it's for us to hang flowing pink tassels from.

I like having a long clutch lever for since I'll be able to have 3-4 fingers on it, and of course, the lever needs to go all the way to the bar so it only makes sense to have all fingers on it.

The shorty brake lever I prefer because the long levers get in the way of my ring and pinky finger. I feel more precise with just my index and middle finger on the brake, and also, I don't want to overpower it.
