When I was visiting the Triumph dealership there sat a very unique bike with a preowned price tag of $44K. Guesses as to what it is? Year was 2012 or 13, so not valuable due to vintage status.

Never seen one of these before…

Pictures are very helpful when trying to identify something.

Pterodactyl's the winner! I knew what it was; wanted to see if there were any guesses based on its price. It's a Confederate Hellcat.
Of course, Ptero did the logical thing (it seems) which is cross referencing my location with "triumph dealership" and seeing what's in stock there.

That is one weird looking bike. Looks kinda like a custom bobber. That little seat hanging out in space doesn't look too comfy. Is this one of those bikes that you pay $45K for, but can only ride it 10 miles to the bar parking lot?
A guy at a dealership once tried to interest me in a Big Dog chopper. Hard tail, tiny seat, 10 foot long forks. I asked him where would I ride such a thing. He said local bike nights would be fun

Nice. Spec wise the hellcat is pretty impressive; about 140hp pushing 500 pounds. It probably takes off like a bar out of hell and leaves you behind Looney Tunes style!
Their other model, the much more expensive Wraith, is a much weirder looking ride. |
