The one shot I saw on Facebook was not all that impressive. Retro look for a machine that is not too retro. I'll reserve my opinion until I see it in person. Some bikes look better in person.

I like it, and I'm not a cruiser guy. Fond memories of my brothers Eldorado I guess. No Guzzi dealers around here that I have found so slim chance I will ever see one in person.

I think with the modern bikes you can only go so far back into the archives for a look and Moto Guzzi went a wee bit too far. It may be because I'm too young for that particular look, and it may look uber good in person. Then again, I think Honda could have gone a bit further back with the styling cues on the CB1100 and been fine (I offer up the Whitehouse projects as examples), not that our version is bad, just that Honda had a wider stretch of history to work with. Many because their designs evolved gradually over a long span. Moto Guzzi would use one style for a long time, jump to something else and use it for a long time, so instead of a nice evolutionary transition they had fits and starts.

So maybe some of the design elements, to me, fit the old Eldo era, but don't fit with the Art Deco under pinnings of the machine. Now, a little Art Nouveau detailing on the tank......
