By the way this is a little off topic (but health was mentioned as a reason for selling), but I know I've read your wife had a hip replacement, I've been having trouble with one of mine.
Question: How did she know it was serious enough to warrant surgery? Did her GP recommend an ortho guy? Was it seen on X-Ray or Cat Scan? Mine is starting to worry me and I'm wondering whether to seek out my GP opinion or go straight to an ortho dr. Naproxen is holding it in check at the moment, but that can't last forever.
I'm trying to figure out which will fail me first, my ability to walk or my ability to ride.
Pain 24/7. Go straight to Ortho. GP is not educated enough in this area and will either prescribe stronger pain meds or refer you to Ortho. Xrays will tell the answer.

I agree, see an ortho, possibly 2 if you can. I had my left hip replaced at 38, I had been in pain for quite a while and my GP had zero understanding of what needed to be done. I waited too long, the pain became unbearable and it turned out I had worn a hole through my hip requiring bone graphs along with the replacement. A long long rehab but it changed my life for the better. I walk every day, follow the ortho's rules, and have had this hip for 16 years now. I get a little cramped on occasion but the surgery made my life better. I never thought I would be riding again.

Thanks! I was contemplating foot surgery once (which I had) and the ortho said there were 3 reasons to have surgery....pain, pain, pain...so if you get pain relief I guess the surgery is considered a success...regardless how much function is returned...I guess that is probably true....hope her surgeries went well! The 2015 CB1000R looks really nice. Finally red. Should have been red all along. What's with Americans and flat black? I rode the 1000r and it's a nice ride. Less arm room. Less leg room. Shoulders more taxed. Motor is a hoot but over kill. I can see myself stomping that open getting on the highway, passing someone just for the heck of it. Only thing, make it naked naked. That wind screen is like wearing sox to the party. If you're gonna take it off, take it ALL off!
