How did I miss this thread before this?
I recently rode a Zero myself, and was blown away. If they were maybe $5K, I'd probably buy one without a second thought...they just don't serve enough purpose to me to rationalize the $15k price tag.

Electric motorcycles are already successful and perfectly matched to the sport of observed trials (aka: moto-trials). A French company, Electric Motion, has been been producing the EM 5.7 since 2012 and has claimed a French National championship.
