Interesting thread. After many years riding 360 degree parallel twins, I used to think just about any other bike ran smooth as glass. I recall my first ride on my friend's Yammie XJ650 (Maxim). After starting it, I nearly hit the starter button again because I couldn't feel or hear the engine running.

My CB750 is probably the smoothest bike I've owned. It's noticeably smoother than the CB11. From memory the early GL1000 Gold Wing was also in that category. I used to swap with a friend on long road trips and recall how much easier the miles went by without the constant vibes.
