Yeah, no risk of floating valves for sure.
Like the late model Yamaha V-Max, the xDiavel has too much radiator for a humble motorcycle.

There’s nothing humble about the Diavel.

I was almost going to call it a car because of the radiator square footage, but maybe the V-Max has more.

At one time there was a rumor that Ducati was a shim factory and build bikes around the shims they produced , later it was proven to be fake news.

I have 8 shims, so maybe it is true
even more so, the shims transformed the bike to the best bike on the planet, so yeah, I can imagine shim are the core of wich a Ducati is made around.

I see that the new Diavel has stopped using a belt final drive and uses a chain, like the rest of their bikes. This is a huge negative to me, though perhaps the power of the new bikes was too much for a belt drive. Belt drives are light, clean (no lubrication) and almost never require adjustment. Chain drives are much higher maintenance, and that is a particular pain in the neck on a bike with no centerstand. I have a Pit Bull single side swingarm rear stand I use to adjust the chain on my Ducati. It's not a big deal at home, but a chain driven bike with no centerstand is a real hassle on a trip.
