The 2017 CB1100EX uses a key with a milled pattern. The newer key codes provided are nearly useless in the US. There is no code translation. Literally only a handful of Honda motorcycle dealers with the newest computerized equipment to cut the the new style by code. Even car dealers are referring customers to locksmiths.
Next time you're at a dealer, ask how they would cut keys.

That's a lot of great information. I noticed that it mentioned there was a stamped key code on the lock body, but not a way to decipher it so it can be cut.
A few years ago, if you needed a laser cut/milled key, you contacted your dealer, who would call Honda's TechLine service number, and they would have one made by a certain experienced individual. As they have recently moved Techline to South Carolina, and that individual has retired, don't know where keys come from now, if they do at all.
Also not sure why they are referred to as laser-cut, as it is a small end mill that actually machines away the metal. Maybe laser-guided would be better.
