I've had several brands of cycle windshields over the years and something in the instructions never made it to the understanding part of my brain. Most instructions say to align the shield parallel with the forks. What I never understood is are they talking about the front contour of the shield or the sides? Mine have always been different. Look at yours, as applicable, and see which way your shield is aligned.

I just put a N.C. 'Street Shield EX' on my CB. As posted the instructions weren't great, but it's close to self explanatory. The pictures help too.
I just used the 'fork angle' as a guide, then adjusted to where it works for me. I just fine tuned it this eve and will continue my road test tomorrow. I had read about others thinking the EX was to tall, seems about right to me.

I use the angle of the forks as a starting point, then adjust as necessary after test riding. I don't get as specific as you do. I just set it up so, when viewed from the side, the general lines of the shield seem to be at about the same angle as the forks.
With the NC Plexistar on my CB11 I started with the shield aligned with the forks, but eventually pitched it back just a little more to keep the shield's top edge below eye level and the wind blast near the top of my helmet.
Here's a test fit of my Plexifairing 3 (which I ended up not using). It's pretty much aligned with the forks.
My NC Deflector DX started out aligned with the forks, but I pitched it back further to keep the wind blast at chin level. Like so :

There talking about the center of the shield being in alignment with the forks. Speeds under 50MPH it really does not make a difference. The more down pressure the better handling at highway speeds. I always went equal with forks or a touch back, forward of the forks tend to float the front end and reduce handling.

So, my assumption was correct. The alignment is the front of the shield--not the edges. Thanks.
