I decided to fit the TSR Air Funnel Kit that's been laying around in the attic since last year.
One of the stages of the instructions says
"*Fig.7 please remove the blank plug from the vacuum chamber."
There is a picture with it but I've got no idea what the vacuum chamber is.
Looked thru the manual but no joy...
Anyone done this mod and can shed some light? or anyone know what i'm missing? It's the air funnel kit that requires cutting out the air box not the Air Intake Funnel which replaces the snorkel.

Popgun,
That sounds right, for North American CBs. However, don't the European and Asian models have a vacuum line fitted to the hole that Cap #8 Covers? Doesn't that vacuum line activate/control the servo motor on the stock European/Asian exhaust?
That said, Beardy has probably already bypassed that system with his aftermarket exhaust, so removing Cap #8 shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks Popgun, but no. That is a useful page tho. I had a spin thru the other sections but couldn't see anything. After re-reading my post I thought it sounded like something on the fuel side. Pos. on the throttle bodies, but i couldn't find anything there either.
I'll ping Takashi Takase from Samurider an email and see if he can shed some light on it. The detailed TSR instructions are in Japanese and I only have an abridged English set of notes to go with it. Maybe something got lost in the translation....
Not sure if i can copy and paste the pic.... that would help wouldn't it! ;-)

Sorry Beardy, I did look at the Japanese instructions online but couldn't make any sense of them
Gumby, yeah, you are right. There is a servo motor for the exhaust but not. in the US. I forgot about that.

That's a horrid looking thing and I'm glad I don't have one.... It's not the droid we're looking for tho.
I'll see if I can make a picture from the PDF and put it up. It might ring a bell with someone.
I'm getting it all back together tomorrow, so could do with knowing as I don't want to get back into the airbag again in a hurry. It's a bit of a faff.

Takashi from Samurider (they supplied the parts from TSR) got straight back to me. It's a Japan only part and not fitted post 2013. So not on either Euro or USA bikes and, for owners outside of Japan, that section of the instructions can be skipped.
Thanks for your help fellas,
I'll report back with a Dyno report on the mod when I get it...
