Hi everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster. I have a standard 2014 CB1100 with 28k miles on the clock. I did a quick search on the forum, but didn't find anything similar.
For the past few weeks, I've noticed an intermittent "clunk" when I apply my rear brake at low speeds. After some trial and error I was able to isolate it to my rear caliper making contact with the swing arm. I was wondering if this behavior is normal?

I figure that this is what is going on. When I am stopped on an incline, and if I only engage my rear brake, my bike will slip backwards about a foot before it stops moving. Essentially, the rear caliper rotates counterclockwise, with the rear tire/disc, on the rear axle and it's movement is arrested by the brake lines
. When I get moving again and apply the rear brake , the caliper comes forward (clockwise) all at once until it makes contact (clunk) with the portion of the swing arm that juts out (indicated with the arrow).
If I'm looking at everything right, the caliper only has one hard point, around the axle, where it's fixed to the bike. So there's nothing to stop the caliper from rotating counter clockwise. It looks like this is putting a huge amount of stress on my rear brake line. Is anyone else experiencing this? I torqued my rear axle nut to spec 69 ft-lbs today but I'm still having this same issue.
