Comfortable after 3600 miles...

Not sure why, but I noticed my butt is not sore from riding my CB1100 after and hour or two now! Not sure if it's because I took a 4 day break during a rainy period, or are my butt and seat finally getting used to each other? I hope this trend continues, it will save me 5 or $600 and I really don't mind the looks of the stock seat.

I've found the OEM seat to be remarkably comfy compared to most. I used to get really sore after a couple three hours on most of the bikes I've owned, this one is good for me all day.

When I bought my bike I had to ride it home 750 miles.................my butt disowned me. Its ok for a couple hours but after that many pit stops. Hopefully in time either my butt or seat will change.

My man-parts go numb after about 20 minutes. I'm in the process of losing weight. Hopefully in a few months, I will be close to the weight of the person this seat was designed for.

Over the past decade, I've replaced many stock seats with Corbins and never looked back, but your post reminded me of a time in the 70's when my brothers and I would ride dirt bikes for hours on end every single day. Without fail, every time we got a new bike, there would be some definite soreness going on which we simply chalked up to riding too much. But after a week or two on the new bike, it was all forgotten, and we never got sore on that bike again.

So I think there is something to the frequency and number of miles you ride and your rear end does adapt, and also, the stock seat on this one is far better than most stock seats I've encountered. Hopefully, my experience on this bike will match yours and I too will save the $450 check to Corbin.

I got a shipment confirmation from Corbin just now. Of course I ordered seats for two bikes at one time (long story) and now I don't know what they shipped...
