I bought tires from Motorcycle Superstore once (Avon tires at that). When I received them, one tire was already over two years old and the other was almost a year old. I wasn't too pleased as they weren't interested in trying to find me anything newer in the tire model/sizes I was looking for. At least they took them back and returned my money.

I've had a number of experiences involving Motorcycle Superstore shipping me 'new' stuff that has obviously been damaged and returned. A jacket with torn off liner snaps. A helmet with (minor) road scratches in the faceshield. It makes me speculate as to how they get the prices so low (a certain number of people are just going to accept or not notice that the merchandise is not in 'new' condition. who knows, maybe they buy returned merchandise by the lot and sell it off as new as best as they can along with genuinely new items mixed in there). |
