There's an old saying...

"If it looks too good to be true, it probably is".

To the O.P. ; props to you for giving us the heads up. I think I'd have just bought the damn thing ( had the deal been pukka ).

On the subject of buying 'spare bikes' for future investment potential, are the low current sales not an indicator of the bike's limited all round appeal?

I mean how long are you guys hoping to live for to see a return on investment?

I know a Brough Superior will fetch $400,000 US, but are these (lovely) Jap knock offs of an era gone buy REALLY collectors items?

I know I'll be killed either on mine, in a car, poking toast out of the toaster with a knife, or by some less exotic way.

I doubt I'll live to see my CB worth more than I paid for it, inflation taken into consideration.

Having said that, I can't resist a bargain, and would probably have bought all existing stock at the advertised price, before add on's.

Just browsing craigs list and saw that one. OMG, I am so temped. As much as I like the 14DLX the price is just so good on these 13's that you have to do some soul searching. Or at least I do. There is not a single thing wrong with the motorcycle I have either which makes it even worse. Angry

I just called Chaparral up, but they say that its not in their system. They weren't sure, but I guess they must have sold it.

400 miles $600 now that's a deal for someone local. I have the 14 deluxe but there is nothing wrong with a 13 model. I will own a 13 model one day!! That's the first year of the COME BACK KING!!
Ops opps $6000
