What is going on?

I keep having issues getting into the site. Sometimes I can't get in at all, and others I get kinda half way in.

Have not gotten that with THIS site, but happens from time to time on a couple other forums. Typically your browser does not get the formatting information in a timely fashion and tosses on your screen what it does have. Usually a regional problem and not related to the site. It just so happens that somewhere along the hops from the server to you the bits get stuck in mud. Could be very high traffic near you, could be your machine down loading Microsoft Updates (or an anti-virus scan) or heavy trunk traffic somewhere along the line.

Today it's you. Tomorrow it's folks in Montana. No rhyme or reason as far as I can tell.

OK. So I know it isn't funny. Not really. But I read this thread and pressed the link to "Next Oldest Post" and got this—

I've been getting that same message as Cormanus for the last few days. Sometimes when trying to post a reply, or when I click on "View Today's Posts".

It sometimes takes a few min. to go away, other times I just have to give up and come back in an hour or two.

It's either a host-server issue or a linkup issue.

Those used to be commonplace, in the era of dial-up. Guess we're regressing...
