If I was using Dino oil I would probably change between 2500 and 3k. I could go longer but I get board and like changing the oil and it's not too expensive. Now my car on the other hand uses full synthetic and I have no problem going 7k before a change. Theoretically synthetic can go about 7500 to 10k before breaking it down but it does get dirt and sediments in it. So the answer is yes. I also ride pretty hard sometimes so it makes me feel better.

Just checking that the first oil change is due at 600 miles if I'm reading the book correctly. Ordered 2 gals and 1 qt for 2 oil changes 2 filters and 2 sealing washers. Ordered everything from Cheap Cycle parts.

Yes, first change at 600 miles. Is part of the first service check. Ferret has a HOW TO on the whole thing in the How-to section. It is not hard.

Yep a bit pricy but my option is a 50 mile 1 way drive in the PU so I'll let the brown truck deliver it. At least I'm good for 2 changes.
