Sayonara to the CB1100, with an exit interview.

Honda nailed this on the same level as HD does.

That's something that the OP had no understanding of.

Far be it from me to drag this out, and I think the OP may have deleted some of the relevant posts, but, with respect, I don't think this assessment of his view is correct. I think he made clear responding to Ferret on one occasion that he entirely understood the point that the CB1100 was exactly the bike that Honda intended to build.

What he was saying was that, in spite of this, there were things about the bike he didn't like—for example, it's weight—and that informed his decision to sell it. Fair enough, He's entitled not only not to like it but also to tell us all that he doesn't like it.

I'm also sorry to drag this out.... Just my further 2 cents... He, or anyone else is entitled to a statement about the bike's shortcomings that he perceives, but not 50 times. And not without being respectful to the few hundred owners here who genuinely like (love) their CB.

The flipside to that coin is we are also entitled to state our thoughts, both with regard to the CB and the manner in which we are spoken to. Anyone attached to this forum quickly realizes it supports respect and the showing of common decency toward the members.

Maybe it's time for the mods to lock this thread. The OP has stated his opinions, let's just be done with it. I wish him well in what ever ride he decides to purchase and hope that it fits his needs and wants. Time for everyone to just move on. BeerThanks
