Does anybody know of a site that posts reliable sales data? It'd be interesting to know. I used to work in the auto industry and data was widely available. Not so much for motorcycles.

Ferret; the Griso 8V 1200, (only the SE is imported here) is quite the machine and on any given Sunday could be me keeper bike (the other Sundays it's the CB). But, it helps if the ECU is remapped. The new factory mapping is pretty good but some riders, most with tons more seat time than I, have issues. My biggest complaint is that she is too thirsty.

Not as good in the tight twisty bits, better on the sweepers, and the motor just feels better for long long rides. I think it's the low frequency rumble at cruise vs. the slight buzz of the CB. Simply more appealing. Grab throttle and she leaps.

Once I bought the CB I thought the Griso would be surplus but they are two very different machines, like Ginger and MaryAnn. Sometimes you want the beauty that is no good for you; sometimes not. Big Grin

DAC I have never been able to find data on sales by unit, only sales by volume by the manufacturer, and then only world wide, not by country.

Rboe...I agree, variety (in motorcycles Biker) is the spice of life, and I LIKE THEM ALL !. Thumbs Up

Once I find something I really like though, I tend to stick with it ...like my wife who I have been married to for over 40 years...or cheeseburgers and French fries........or hot tea with crème and sugar....or inline 4 cyl liter bikes ROFL

Too many nice bikes to settle on just one (if you have the room and money). Life is short, if you can only have one at a time, try something new each time.

I'd like to try a 250cc version of the old Honda CT90/110. That could be fun!

Really enjoyed reading these posts. Thanks ferret and everyone else for contributing to the discussion. My contribution... I love all motorcycles too. I currently have the CB1400 standard and an '07 VFR 800. Very different bikes. Between the two I am unquestionably drawn more to the CB when it's time to ride. I've owned a cruiser, a couple standards and a super sport as well. I've enjoyed them all but none have felt as right as this beautiful CB.
