Race one a beauty. 1. Rea 2. Sykes 3. Van der Mark.
With the second race in a few hours, Rea maybe the first rider to win all the first four races in a season. He is really on top of his game. VDM also looking good despite running third. Hayden had a bad race with a mechanical DNF.
Bring on race 2.
Cheers

Supersport race 1 currently recording with Superbike race 2 immediately to follow.
I'm loving Bein Sports channel here in the US. MotoGP Qatar is next Sunday at 1pm, although I don't see Moto2 or Moto3 listed. Maybe they are included in that 2 hour broadcast.

Those last two laps of race two were sensational. Both Rea and Sykes wanted the win badly with Chaz trying hard as well. Multiple passes and retakes between two members of the same team. That's fraught with danger. And then the Ducati sitting there waiting to pounce if any errors were made. Wow.
Despite Rea's success up until this race he has not been dominant. This makes for a big season ahead.
Cheers

Nicky had a very creditable race. Fifth place, but still ten seconds off the pace and five behind VDM. Like my old English teacher would say, " Could do better".
If the MotoGP boys, or specifically Rossi, go on with the juvenile antics of last season I think WSBK will provide some very credible competition. Interesting to observe that at PI the WSBK drew a bigger crowd than the last GP. Maybe the two day, two race format helps. The support acts also provided a lot of racing over two days.
Cheers

For the past few years the racing in SBK has been more exciting than Motogp, at least to me. The unfortunate actions of Rossi and Marquez in last season's Motogp series soured me on the whole thing. Hopefully this sort of juvenile behavior will not recur. Qatar is next weekend and we shall see.
This second SBK race was a thriller and a half. If a harbinger of the remaining season, we are in for some cracking good racing.
