I was satisfied with my small EMGO top box on my Honda rear rack until I started using my CB to go fishing. The collapsible fishing rod is 2 inches too long to fit in it. So I used a small back pack I had to hold my fishing gear. Today my back hurts after riding 5 hours to and from home.
I have a set of Sedici Distanza square saddlebags that I bought on sale two years ago, but never used. The bottom of the rod sticks out about an inch. It is black, as are the bags, so it is not going to draw any attention when parked for lunch.
The second bag will also solve another problem. In the mornings when I set out I wear my leather jacket because it is too cool to ride without it. But after lunch it is far too hot, but I had no place to store it. But I will now.
