Revzilla's Common Tread blog posted a very interesting article from the perspective of someone who dates a motorcyclist.

I had my wife read the article, and she agrees with what she wrote. The "guys who ride motorcycles become inexplicably sexy" part was particularly gratifying.

Nice article. I'm sure that my wife thinks I'm inexplicably something. Not so sure that "sexy" would be that something ("grumpy" or "sloppy", perhaps). LOL Then again, she was zipping up her jacket and disappearing into her helmet and zooming away from our house about 6 months prior to my engaging in this sport and there was (and is) still something inexplicably sexy in watching her do so....unless she's PO'd about the sloppy or grumpy in which case I'm just happy that she's on her way.

My wife also considered the "worst case scenario" part of the article, and reminded me that she doubled my life insurance when I started riding.

My female friends all wanted on the back of the RD400. It was crazy thinking then, and still today. At first it was great, especially when the passenger seat was cleaned up with Armor-All vinyl protectant (yeah, I know ... not the brightest when braking, but otherwise
). Soon the dude friends wanted to know if I wanted to do some group riding. So the "no rides today ladies" soon became a killjoy. Ah well - no regrets.

But, ive heard quite a bit of similar sentiment to this article over the years, but a lot recently from Angie.
Interesting story.
I know if I bought a Vespa or Cub, my partner would ride it. For now, she prefers the back seat. Heck, come to think of it, I'd probably ride the Cub too.

But yes, dudes and dudettes in gear and helmets on motorcycles = always sexy.

I think women dig guys on Italian bikes typically because they happen to be in good shape. Er, the bike I mean.

Back in the day, BM, (before marriage) I had girlfriends on the back of whatever bike I owned at the time. I'd keep in the lower gears, make it rev, so the vibrations were transmitted to where they did the most good. Worked every time.
