Gorgeous countryside Cormanus. As Rocky so aptly put it "as one of those poor mugs in the northern hemisphere", I have to ask what the temps are in you neck of the world ? (25 degrees F here and plummeting)

Very nice ride and pics Cormanus!

The chicken schnitzel burger sounded interesting but I had to resort to "google" to find pics and recipes. Looks much better than a "McChicken" sandwich. Smile

Curlyjoe, I have to confess to an abiding prejudice against pretty much McAnything so I reckon you're right about the burger. They vary a bit, but are usually chicken breast coated in breadcrumbs and pan fried in a respectable bun with salad and mayonnaise. A chicken breast burger (without the breadcrumbs) is probably kinder to the waist, but the schnitzel makes a nice variation and was all that was on offer. The accompanying chips (fries) had too much salt.

Chapomis, the maximum temperatures around Brisbane at the moment are in the low 30s Celsius. 30ºC = 86ºF. Inland they are reaching the high 30s. Perth, Western Australia (a long way from me) has recently set a new February record with 3 consecutive days of temperatures over 40ºC (104ºF). Personally, I'd be pretty happy if the maximum only occasionally reached 30ºC, but I'm prepared to cop the warmer regime in order not to have to endure the sorts of winters you guys have. Snow-capped mountains are pretty, and provide boundless entertainment to skiers and snow-boarders; and it's a neat way to collect water to keep the rivers running, but as an urban companion it is—in my view at least—probably overrated.

Sometimes there are sudden turns in live and one has to lean to take it. Big Grin

Thanks for the ride report and the beautiful pictures. I'm looking forward for myself to go out for, well for me it would be some coffee. Thumbs Up
