In Ontario, on most of the HWY 4XX series, the trucks are prohibited from the L-lane...but it must be sign indicated.

Sad story.

Australian truck routes are littered with the pieces of retread flung from truck wheels. I live in fear of being taken out by one.

The same in California. I call them road gators 'cause they look like mini alligators laying there. The trucking lobby must be powerful in CA for the state to allow retreads on 18-wheelers.
