Seat Reworked
#1

Picked up my modified seat today. Guy did a great job and did not charge an arm and leg to do it. He moved the bend in the seat back about 2" and added more foam to the front. I would have preferred a more gradual rise on the front part but I can live with it. He also reattached the strap back about 2" as well. Don't know what that strap does unless it is for decoration or carrying thin items like an envelope, etc.

Well, in my case, it will have to be a small pair of hands. At last weigh-in, I can now carry a passenger of about 110 lbs without overloading the cycle. Ah, the weight keeps falling off me!

I took my strap off. Two bolts on the bottom. Those are pointless, the seat isn't big enough to have a passenger actually use that unless you have a midget passenger.

Actually my strap is covered by my tailbag, which could be removed to accomodate a lightweight passenger but if I know I'm gonna double someone, I'll show up with the Goldwing.

Most classic bikes have a strap. Even if no longer used as intended, it's still there for style. Bonnevilles, Sportsters, Moto Guzzi V7s, and CB1100s all have itBig Grin.

It could also be used to hold a ball cap for those of us who use one after we take off our helmets. Just slide the beak from the passenger side and it will be there after your ride.
