Thanks for the review. If we could afford a third bike to serve as a commuter bike for my wife, I would have a serious look at something from Zero. Right now, the range isn't long enough for touring or even long day rides.

I have zero interest in the Zero or any electric motorcycle. Range is the issue. Also the power band. Sure they make great torque off the bottom but that's not what most riders really want (especially based on the tire life most guys seem to be getting around here). A nice, predictable spread of power works much better.
I know that can be designed in, and ultimately it will be. Another thing is all that EMF. And batteries have been known to leak and explode. Even Boeing wasn't able to get it right the first time (787).

For me, torque is king, not top end. The electric motors in these things have flat torque spec's. And no fear of valve float......
But range is a huge bug a boo. Once that nut is cracked look out. And fast recharges too.

Intrigued by the idea of a quiet motorcycle. Experienced with a couple of Zeros but heck, I work for a living so they are not for me. Would love a dual sport with a 200 mile range that was quiet, not this decade.
Papa - watch out! I took my wife to a motorcycle show to show her the bike I was thinking of buying and she ended up with a Can-Am, great bike for her. Solid product. Only problem was she reminded me that I told her she could have anything she wanted. Expensive day, at least I got my bike too.
Slingshot seems to have short life for owners, best description I've heard is that they are something you hope your buddy buys. Secondary market active.
