I don't know what you mean.
Just for an idea on dealer cost, When I won the K1300S in the BMW Superstakes a few years ago, I wanted a different bike. So they showed me what BMW MOA paid for it from the Fatherland to show me what money I had to use on buying something else. The K1300's MSRP was $18,300 and they paid $15,500 for it. I assume that's what a dealer would pay without any other incentives.

My guess is that The ferret was making a harmeless joke about the stereotypical BMW rider hanging out at Starbucks, at least that's how I took it...funny Big Grin

Now I get it. Thanks for the explanation.
(I don't have a BMW any longer and never owned a GS model so I can't do the Starbucks run)

What ever happened with this?

I wrote my local bmw motorcycle dealer.

Their response-

Quote:Josh-

Interesting thread- I just read through it and can tell you that BMW has not included the G310R in the current "Dream Ride Summer Event" which offers $1000 Loyalty or $750 Conquest credit on select models- the G310R not being one of them. I can't speak for the deal that LongRanger did because we are not his selling dealer but I suspect that all interested parties are not on the same page as I would be very surprised to see a dealer discount a $4750 motorcycle over 20%.

Well, it's becoming a moot point because the "Dream Ride Summer Event" is only good through 8/31/17 and the G310R's are delayed until October, according to BMW NA. Still, my deal is in writing, so if the bike could be delivered before 8/31, the dealer would be committed to honoring it. I can't imagine he'll need to follow through, though. But as I've said along, I think it's a mistake because it's doubtful there's $1000 profit in the bike to begin with.
