Reminds me of the "Visible V8" plastic model I had as a kid. It was fun to assemble and even more fun to watch all the internal components spin around as you cranked the engine. It even had little battery-powered "spark plugs" that would momentarily flash when they fired.

The guy bought the clear covers on Ebay. He said that he didn't intend to keep them on, since they were cheap and he assumed they'd leak. But, they hadn't leaked so far, and looked cool, so he left them on. It was quite entertaining to watch.

I've had my BMW for a couple of years and it has been trouble free, with 100k miles on it.
