I put my CB1100 and VTX1800F up for the winter and now have to wait for Spring. I am a fair weather rider and don't ride in temperatures below 55 degrees. When I put the bikes up I make sure the gas tank is full to keep condensate out and connect a battery tender and put a cover on. I have been doing the same procedure for all of my bikes in the past and it works for me. It is snowing in my area today but not building up on the ground yet. Now comes the winter doldrums.

Bummer...we should have another 2 months before I have to put mine up, but then again I ride as long as there is no accumulating snow or excessive salt on the road. For lower temps I just wear more, but Im finally considering electric gear. Researching now.

I keep waiting for temps to drop. At the AIM Expo in Orlando this weekend, it felt like July...90's and humid.

I'm shooting for the first week in November. After I get the snow tires on, the bike will go into storage mode.

"Put up?" What's that?

I just plug in my heated vest and keep on riding. Thankfully, the most my bikes sit is maybe 3 weeks in the dead of winter.
