Back protectors
#1
Having rid myself of the idea of open face helmets, my sensibilities seem a little more on track, and I am contemplating wasting my hard earned money on something else.

I have an old Knox back protector which I bought back in my CBR600 days (1998) and wore sparingly due to it feeling like I'd left the coat hanger in my jacket.

I see they are pretty pricey these days and look about the same, but I was hoping that with modern advances in materials and design they would be better and easier to wear these days, maybe.

Anyone ride with one, own one tried one and didn't like it?

I like riding with back protection. I stick one of these...

...in the back protector sleeve that comes sewn in to one of these...

I find it very comfortable, in fact it'd feel weird to ride without it now. YMMV.

I'd forgotten about inserts, I think most of my jackets accept one..worth considering. Thanks.
