Grover - outstanding to find another Ag here. I'm Class of '86 and '92. My oldest daughter begins school there this Fall - we're very excited!! She will be Class of '19.

Trey & Grover,

My son Charley is currently finishing his senior year at Texas A&M. He's a Business/Finance Major in the Mays School of Business and he has just been accepted into the MBA program which he'll start in September. I have been to every single A&M home football game during the last 4 years and make a 2000 mile round trip flight to attend each one.

I graduated from the University of San Diego which is a fine school and I didn't know about A&M back then. But when it came time for my son to go to college we researched Universities coast to coast and Texas A&M was his (and my) first choice. There are only about 500 freshman slots available each year for out of state students so it's really hard to get in if you aren't a Texas resident. Out of state tuition is backbreaking too but every time I see my son with that gold Aggie ring on I'm so happy he's there. He loves Texas A&M and so do I. Gig 'Em.

WOW - I'm in Houston and even I miss some home games (or many)!! And traveling from AZ to boot!!! Dad gum, you would be top ten on the dedicated Aggie Dad list - and that is no kidding . . . . Thumbs Up

The world famous Aggie ring - have had to resize mine twice. Was walking down the stairs in a small, off-the-beaten-track building three streets off the main drag in Paris, France and a guy yells up at me - "Hey Aggie!!". . . . (I like to repeat that story).

Congratulations on your son finishing up and going to Mays for his MBA - I know you're proud - very BIG accomplishment.

Trey,

Charley is in Houston for the next few months doing an internship with Accenture. He will start MBA classes in September. I thought you would enjoy the license plate on the back of my HD Road King. I flew back a lot to watch my son play right wing on Texas A&M's Rugby Team too. Got to know President Bowin Loftin pretty well before his retirement. I think I've had more fun at A&M than my son has!

Chip,

So awesome to hear that you're so engaged at A&M!! Charley is pretty lucky to have a father like you!

I happen to be a consultant with Accenture and am engaged in the A&M recruiting process, though I haven't had the opportunity to meet Charley. It's an extremely competitive program, so his acceptance into the program speaks volumes for his resume and interpersonal skills! I'll PM you my contact info in case he has any questions about the firm, or if there's anything I can do to facilitate his integration into Accenture.

Gig 'em! Smile

Alan
